The over 1000 fans in Cologne’s Essigfabrik cheer Andy Six. Not just because the 21 years old only wears a short vest over his tattooed body, but but because the singer of Black Veil Brides rocks the audience already with the first tone. Andy (real name: Andrew Biersack) founded the group in 2006 with a few friends from his hometown Cincinnati/Ohio. By now they got two records – and completely different members:The guitarists Jinxx (31) and Jake Pitts (25), Christian “CC” Coma (27) at the drums and Ashley Purdy (28) as Bassist. What remained until today is the name: Black Veil Brides (german translation) – a medieval term for nuns.Their sound: a mixture of glam-rock, hardcore, and metal. Influences of 80’s rock bands like KISS and Mötley Crüe are obvious. – also in styling and make-up.But that’s exactly what the fans love. As always, also at this evening every gesture on the stage is celebrated, the fans sing along to every song. Great: The band comes back in June (Tourdates) – maybe with new songs!
